Personality: Overall Dionysus has an easy-going nature. He likes to party and have a good time, but his choices in life tend to be erratic. He doesn’t think situations all the way through before acting because of past traumas. He values everything and everyone as if it’s the last moment he’s to meet them. The good side to his flamboyant behavior is that he’s easy to please, and likes to set out on adventure. Anything that causes one to feel good he’s all for.

However, because of his tragic past and a time when he went a little mad; it causes his personality to shift. If the wrong thing is said, is picked on beyond just fun play his usual boisterous mood is switched quickly to one of hurt, anger and of horrible nature.

Biography: Dionysus was known as the miracle, at least to himself. His mother made it through a complicated pregnancy and he in turn was born twice. After finding his way in the world momentarily his heart stopped a mere ten minutes, doctors announcing his death to the dot as they unhooked wires and tubes that kept him alive. One doctor refusing to let the bright young boy leave got the heart going again after the baby started to twitch. Dionysus was pronounced alive at precisely 1:30 in the morning. A feat that Dionysus proudly boasts as his moment of glory, as if he harbors some kind of god-like status in the world. The man born twice is not something everyone can accomplish.

His miraculous beginning wasn’t without its tragedy. His mother suffered severe postpartum psychosis within his first year, which attacked her with rapid mood swings and hallucinations. She killed herself one night with an overdose of sleeping pills and he was left in the care of his father. The affair his father had carried long before his birth was finally uncovered and the new wife wanted to move in. Dionysus however had to move out. So at two years of age the little boy was sent to his aunt and uncle to be cared for, unknown to him for a long time the tragedy that befell him at such a young age.

When he finished high school, college was spent in the middle of a party and intoxicated. Smart as he was, the buzz of alcohol was too fascinating and went with his addictive and sometimes erratic personality. The inner drive to be the center of attention and using every moment to it’s fullest is what brings people in and around the dark-haired beauty. It is because of Dionysus’ impulses and captivating spirit that draws many friends around him. The close friend Ampelus was one of those, and was also one of the first tragedies that Dionysus remembers. Being a lover of music and other artistic endeavors, he is often found at concerts and gatherings. Free beer and beautiful women in conjunction with good music isn’t an opportunity the young man will pass up. At one of these numerous concerts, the stage was set up for a freak accident that Ampelus happened to be in the middle of. A venue that capped over its housed number, pushing and shoving, the young Ampelus was crushed and trampled by the crowd. The first memory of sorrow struck Dionysus rather hard and he spent the next two years after college traveling the world. Seeing life for what it is and realizing that there had to be meaning in it. He started to lose a bit of himself each day, that piece that made him so exciting and effervescent.

Coming back to Olympia, Dionysus worked to get back to himself, partying and living up life. That slight sense of madness still breaking out from time to time of those two years spent alone. Dionysus was never a loner, and being surrounded by others was what he lived for outside of alcohol. His meeting with Apollo was anything but cleaver and elegant. He was drunk and the fellow blonde was persistent in his attempts to take him home that night. Until the blonde realized that the pretty girl was actually a boy. Their charismatic friendship started from there, Apollo being the one to pick Dionysus back up to the fun-loving personality he was. Not without their differences, the two can often be found arguing more than getting along, but is what makes their friendship balanced.

Despite his tragedy Dionysus is the first one to grin and plow right through it without a second thought. It is because of these that he realized life is to be lived moment to moment. Anything can happen at anytime which is why one should spend it as if it is your last. Whether it be drunk and being the first to start a Congo line, then it’s what you do. His decisions are not always thought through or long-standing but it’s what makes him happy at that given moment. The same carries over into his love life and the ladies that fill it up. The ex-lover that is still the best friend concludes his relationships and how he handles them. He could be called a womanizer, but also a lover, taking in every relationship as passionate and impulsive as every other aspect of his nature.
